I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, being a family photographer is best when given as a gift. We all know that October is breast cancer awareness month and by chance, I came across a group of photographers trying to make a difference. They were encouraging photographers to donate their time and images to women who have survived breast cancer or who are currently fighting this awful disease. I saw this as a sign. I have a good friend whose mother is battling breast cancer and I just happened to have two last minute spots during my mini session that happened to be back to back. It worked out perfectly!!
Margo brought her husband and her daughter, Mandy, with her. Mandy and I used to be neighbors and have become good friends over the past few years. 🙂 Mandy also just had her third son, so I was crazy excited to get to meet him for the first time. Baby Ethan was Margo’s inspiration to fight. She was determined to finish her treatments before he was born and like the sweet little guy he is, he listened and came 3 weeks after her final treatment. It was a beautiful day and a beautiful testament to the strength and beauty of this family. We are sooooo happy you are feeling better everyday, Margo, and so excited that your celebration included your inspiration. Congrats to you and to Mandy!!
